Planning & Building
The primary function of Conargo Shire Council Development Section is to prepare plans and policies
relating to the regulation of land use and development within the Conargo Shire area. The planning policy
in the Conargo Shire Council area is defined through the Conargo Local Environmental Plan (LEP).
The LEP provides the planning framework for encouraging orderly development within the Council area
while protecting important aspects of the natural and built environment.
Council is currently undertaking a review of the LEP.
